Region 3 mELn ~ Multilingual Education Leadership Network
MELN

Since 2008, the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) hosts quarterly Multilingual Education Leadership Network (MELN) meetings. These meetings were formerly known as the English Learner Coordinators’ Network or ELCN. The MELN provides local district educators who coordinate services for English learners and dual language programs with the opportunity to obtain current federal, state, and regional information about English learner issues, including multilingualism and to discuss how services can best be implemented. The MELN consists of coordinators/directors from districts and charters in Sacramento County and the Capital Service Region (Region 3), which serves ten counties (including Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba).

Note that the meetings are programmed to be virtual. A zoom invitation is sent with all confirmed registrations. We will reconsider switching to in-person sessions as we continue to follow the local health guidelines.
