The Sacramento County Office of Education is excited to continue the History-Social Science community of practice(CP) begun during the 2018-19 school year. Teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals are invited to join us as we provide meaningful and targeted support in HSS InstructionThe goals of the CP are:
  • Professional learning focused on developing inquiry-based critical thinking, improving literacy skills, and equipping teachers with knowledge and instructional strategies to promote civic engagement.
  • Networking and sharing of best practices.
  • Regional action planning for HSS Framework implementation.
  • Reflect and build on the expertise developed during the CP’s first year and grow our capacity to deliver high quality first instruction.
